Tom Kennedy has over 30 years of experience in the building and facilities industry. His background includes contracting, design-build mechanical systems, design consulting, building systems analysis, energy assessment and auditing, forensic study and assessments, commissioning, design peer review, LEED consulting  and project management.  He is in practice in Cincinnati as the sole proprietor of Enhanse.

Xenia Shoe and Leather Renovation (Xenia, Ohio) –
Engineering consultant and design for renovation of historic mixed-use building, providing existing building systems assessment, design of new MEP systems for retail and residential uses for project utilizing historic tax credits and HUD incentives. 2017- present.

Great Oaks Vocational Schools (Cincinnati, Ohio) –
Engineering and energy consultant providing assessment, alternatives analysis and life cycle costing study with full report incorporating aspects of energy efficiency, life expectance and regular maintenance costs for planned replacement of HVAC equipment at three campuses, 2017-present.

Tawawa Chimney Corner Estate (Wilberforce, Ohio) –
Engineering consultant for renovation of historic estate for re-use as civic, community and museum functions, assessment providing MEP systems assessment and alternatives analysis for project utilizing historic tax credits. 2017- present.

Mayfield Clinic (Cincinnati, Ohio) –
Engineering consultant providing existing building systems forensic study of HVAC system deficiencies, existing systems assessment and development of design concepts for system upgrades on two floors of the medical office building, totaling roughly 20,000 sf, 2013-2017.

Emersion Design (Cincinnati, Ohio) –
LEED Consultant for tenant performing supporting analysis, calculations and documentation to support successful certification with US Green Building Council for LEED CI Platinum award for interior office renovation. 2017.

1 East Main Street (Troy, Ohio) –
Engineering consultant providing existing building systems assessment and development of design concepts and schematic plans for new systems to support re-use of historic 36,000 square foot three story building constructed over 150 years ago in downtown, Troy, Ohio. 2016-2017.

Bethel-Tate Schools (Bethel, Ohio) –
Engineering consultant providing existing building heating system analysis and design for new high-efficiency heating boilers and domestic hot water replacements for two school building plants for energy savings, 2017-2019.

Genesis Center (Hamilton, Ohio) –
Engineering consultant providing existing building systems assessment, facilities planning, design concepts and phased design to renovate approximately 20,000 square feet of abandoned and lightly utilized spaces of the old middle school building into useful clinic spaces, 2015-2016.

Cincy Bike Share (Cincinnati, Ohio) –
Engineering consultant for existing conditions assessment, concept development and design of MEP systems for renovation of historic 1850’s registered church property into useful spaces for the Cincy Bike Share program operating offices and shop, 2013-2014.

Mountain Home Tennessee Theater (Johnson, Tennessee) –
Design Engineer for concepts, field verification and system design for ventilation and air conditioning addition to historic 1905 theater building, 2013-2015.

State Employees Retirement System of Ohio (Columbus, Ohio) – Consultant to team for certification of existing 380,000 sf office building using USGBC LEED Green Building Operations and Maintenance 2009, leading development of system upgrade alternatives,  perform ASHRAE Level I and Level II audits, responsible for pre-requisites and credits in energy, water and indoor environment, LEED Certified Silver, 2012- 2013.

Highland Medical Offices (Cincinnati, Ohio) –
Commissioning Authority for LEED 2.0 Core & Shell medical office building, LEED Certified Gold, 2009-2012.

Grange Insurance Headquarters (Columbus, Ohio) –
Consultant to team for certification of existing 590,000 sf office building using USGBC LEED Green Building Operations and Maintenance 2009, leading development of system upgrade alternatives and perform ASHRAE Level I and Level II audits, documentation of pre-requisites and credits in energy, water and indoor environment , LEED Certified Silver, 2013-2015.

Ohio School Facilities Commission (Ohio) –
Commissioning team engineer performing design peer review of drawings, specifications and submittals for new and renovation school facilities projects, certification of Silver or better under USGBC LEED for Schools and LEED BD+C rating system, over 80 projects, 2008- present.

Tender Mercies Harkavy Hall (Cincinnati, Ohio) –
